OF NEPAL BEAT THE HEART OF MUSKHANE

It was on a mission to Kathmandu for Handicap International that Thierry and Valérie discovered Nepal and the Himalayan region. Having reached the end of their commitment, they offer to conduct a study for the association on fair trade in the region. Thus they met artisans from the Kathmandu valley, some of whom would later become their suppliers.
Little by little, the desire to embark on an adventure that would materialize their attachment to Nepal and their desire to develop the local economic fabric, while promoting an exceptional artisanal heritage, was born.
They created MUSKHANE in 2003 and settled permanently in Kathmandu. Today, a small team coordinates production and preparation of orders, while the finishing of the objects is carried out by precious seamstresses with nimble fingers.
After living 15 years in Nepal, Valérie, Thierry and their children returned to France, from where they now pilot MUSKHANE from the heart of the Alps, to Annecy.

NOBILITY OF NATURAL MATERIALS HANDMADE MUSKHANE

objects are handmade in workshops in the Kathmandu Valley. They are entirely composed of natural and renewable materials.

The work of these fibers is the fruit of the centuries-old expertise of Nepalese artisans. Their heritage lives on and continues to evolve technically, among other things thanks to creative innovations and the quality standards sought by the brand.

Valérie learned to work with felt here and regularly goes there to develop prototypes and test the technical feasibility of the objects that she designs with four hands with Emma Nivet.

The quality of the wools used, the high standards and the care given to each piece make MUSKHANE products unique objects, imbued with softness and harmony.
